Balgores SEND School Submitted for Planning
Haverstock is pleased to share that this month, plans for the new Balgores SEND School were submitted to the London Borough of Havering. One of the largest special needs schools in the country, this project is designed to transform specialist education and support for young people in the local area, the new school will provide places for 300 students aged 4-19 years with autism and other complex learning needs.

Offering a purpose-built, nurturing environment with high quality facilities, the intelligent design includes a large sports hall, new performing arts facilities and a hydrotherapy pool, celebrating partnerships in sports, culture and the arts and promoting progression, identity and dignity for all students
Thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces will offer a rich variety of sensory, social and active play experiences, supported by a woodland buffer that increases biodiversity and creates an enhanced sensory experience for students



. Balgores School aims to be an exemplar net-zero in operation, BREEAM excellent scheme that provides a caring and nurturing environment for students.
Balgores School will address a critical SEND need within Havering, acting as a beacon of high-quality specialist provision and a vital resource for students, families and the local community alike.
