Haverstock is delighted to announce that the Maison Dieu is a Regional Finalist for both a Civic Trust and the AABC Conservation Award 2026 and will now be considered for National Awards with the winners announced January 2026.

After 14 years of dedicated investigation, repair, and conservation, the revitalised Maison Dieu opened permanently to the public for the first time in its 800-year history this May.

redecoration and repainting of Burgess’ original design across the ceiling and arches.

Our work to rescue this Grade II* listed Scheduled Monument from significant disrepair combined a rigorous conservation strategy with an improved internal layout and the creation of a fully accessible entrance. These enhancements reconnect the buildingwith Dover’s High Street and support its new roles as a community venue and a

Landmark Trust holiday let.
