Social Value Project at Riverside Primary School Installed

Yesterday, Bessie, Sophie and Nicole completed our social-value art installation at Riverside Primary School!

This collaborative effort between Haverstock and the students results in a colourful hanging installation in the entryway to one of the new buildings at the school. Formed from over 250 individually made and decorated paper-mache bowls created by students at the school!

Bessie and Sophie pose below the completed installation. The installation
takes the form of many bowls hanging from the ceiling creating an ‘umbrella’ effect.

The bowls were strung together by our team and then hung from the ceiling to create a welcoming and inspiring mixed-media installation, demonstrating the collaborative effort between Riverside Primary School and Haverstock.

by the students can be seen including, a watermelon, trees, pressed flowers and collage.
The 260 bowls being installed, in each class students created bowls with a
different theme, together symbolising the togetherness and community of the school.

Riverside Primary School is an existing primary school in Southwark situated in a Grade II Listed Building. Haverstock’s new additions include careful adaptations, a new teaching block, and a dedicated Kitchen/Dining space, refurbishing the east corner of the school.
