Twilight Building at the Triangle Site with Global Generation

Yesterday Haverstock took part in Twilight Building at the @globalgeneration Triangle Site!

Based in Kings Cross, Global Generation is an educational charity that works to co-create gardens with the local community, showcasing how disused urban spaces can become vital resources for social action, skill building and collaboration.

At the Triangle Site, we volunteered to support the build assisting in brickmaking, transporting materials and laying the foundation for their indoor educational space. Using circular economy principles we learned nature-based building techniques, including how tocreate hand-made bricks, an endangered craft.

Assisting the creation of a valuable community resource while supporting the ecosystem was hugely rewarding and we look forward to joining the build again in the near future!
